Baptisms

Baptisms are celebrated most Sundays at 12.15 pm except the First Sunday of the month
Preparation evenings are held a few days prior to the Baptism.

Marriages

Weddings should be booked in six months ahead.
Sunday weddings are possible, but preferably a Marriage Ceremony only. Attendance at a Marriage Preparation Course is essential.

Arrangements are always made in consultation between the parish, the family concerned and the Funeral Director.

Anoining of the Sick

People who have a serious or chronic illness and especially people who are to go to hospital for surgery or other significant treatment are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to request the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Contact Fr Mark Reynolds at any time.

Communion to the Sick

For in the home or people in Nursing Homes or Special Accommodation Homes.
People who are unable to attend Mass because they are sick, or are in a Nursing Home or a Special Accommodation Home are also welcome and encouraged to request that Communion be brought to them. Special Ministers are available to assist in this area.

SJ Singers

Any school age student from Grade 2 onwards - to sing at Sunday Mass at St. James every two weeks. All are welcome to join.

Memorial Book

This book is used as a means of continuing remembrance at Mass for parishioners who have died or parishioners' loved ones who have died. Names are read out at Mass on the day of anniversary (weekdays). Privacy Act forms are available in the Church or from the Parish Office. These forms are to be returned either to the Sacristy or Parish Office a week prior to the date.
