Communion to the Sick

For in the home or people in Nursing Homes or Special Accommodation Homes.
People who are unable to attend Mass because they are sick, or are in a Nursing Home or a Special Accommodation Home are also welcome and encouraged to request that Communion be brought to them. Special Ministers are available to assist in this area.

Memorial Plaques

Memorial plaques are located on the wall of the bell tower in front of the Church. In loving memory of deceased parishioners and those who have been buried from St. John's Church. Forms available in stands or upon request.

Playgroup

Playgroup is held in Zebedee (behind St. John's School) every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday during school term (9.30am to 11.30am) for parents and pre-schoolers.

St. Vincent de Paul (Mitcham Conference)

St John's has a local conference which provides practical support to the community in times of hardship and need. The St Vincent de Paul shops are located at

Hospital Visits

Mitcham Hospital is visited. Please inform Fr. Mark Reynolds or Ann Glenn if you are to be a patient there, or are to be admitted for surgery or treatment at any other hospital.

Over 55's group meets every Tuesday of the month (except first Tuesday) to organise holidays, outings etc..

Men's Group

The Men's group meets in the Zebedee Room (behind St John's school) on the first Sunday of the month for breakfast and discussion on a range of issues related to lifestyle, fatherhood, faith and society.

Each year the group also organises a men's reflection weekend at Pallotti College, Millgrove. All men of the parish are invited to join the group.
