Parish Schools

The parish of St John the Evangelist has two primary schools. St John's Mitcham and St James Vermont. Enrolment at St John's peaked in the 1960's (over 800), before St James' was open in 1970. The two schools in the parish are aptly named, their saintly namesakes being brothers.
Both schools have been recently updated and refurbished and offer high quality education and sense of christian community, including care for students outside of school teaching hours.
